Every once in a while a propportunity comes across that you simply know could be something special…
All Saints church is Grade II listed former church, designed by the renowned architect, Sir George Gilbert Scott, situated in the picturesque town of Hawkhurst, Kent.
All Saints Church was deconsecrated in the late 1990s and after a short spell being utilised as a banqueting hall, was eventually sold to a local developer in 2001. For the next decade, plans and ideas bounced back and forth between the owners and the Local Authority and, after an aborted sale to a community group, the owners gave up on their ambitions and placed the property for sale.
In 2016, our associates at Freelands Property purchased the site and, after initially renewing the recently expired previous planning & listed building consent, submitted a revised scheme for future residential use, which was granted in early 2019.
The project is now fully complete, with all units let on either short or longer term tenancies. Propportunities have posted 3 separate videos on our YouTube Channel, allowing you to view the different stages of the project through to completion.
